1. Product and scope
ScrollMind is an app-use management tool operated by independent developer Dehuo Sun. You choose which apps to manage and set reminders, daily budgets, per-app budgets, schedules, and family or child protection rules. This policy applies to the ScrollMind iOS/iPadOS app and website.
The initial release does not require an account. Our product boundary is simple: manage time and rules, never the content inside your apps.
2. Data handled on your device
To provide the features you choose, the app handles or stores locally:
- System-protected tokens for the apps, categories, or websites you select.
- Reminder times, daily and per-app budgets, schedules, modes, and language preferences.
- Reminder status, protection status, local parent action records, and reflections you choose to write (the latest 12 entries).
- A parent credential protected by Apple Keychain, not uploaded to our servers. Legacy locally stored passcodes are removed after successful migration to Keychain.
- Subscription products and entitlement status returned by Apple.
Apple's privacy-preserving app picker supplies protected tokens. We do not use them to upload an app list or build an advertising profile.
3. What we do not read or sell
ScrollMind does not read, scrape, or analyze:
- Specific videos, recommendations, social feeds, posts, or in-app activity.
- Chats, messages, email, photos, contacts, location, payments, or browsing content.
- Apple ID passwords, full card details, or biometric data.
We do not sell personal data, include third-party advertising SDKs, or use app activity for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
4. Children and family use
Family features let a parent or guardian create reasonable boundaries for a child's device use. Parents can set budgets, reminders, protection, and temporary access, but ScrollMind does not show what a child watched, searched for, or discussed.
In dedicated-child and shared-family modes, opening parent controls requires a separate parent passcode. The current version does not accept device Face ID or Touch ID in place of that passcode, because a child's biometrics may already be enrolled on the device. ScrollMind does not read fingerprint or facial data.
5. Apple system services and payments
ScrollMind uses Apple Family Controls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings to monitor time for selected items and apply reminders or protection within the permission you grant. You can revoke access in system settings; related features may then stop working.
Subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment-card information. The app receives only the transaction and entitlement status needed to complete and restore purchases.
If you contact support by email, the address, description, screenshots, or device details you voluntarily provide are used only to respond to that request.
6. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Local plans and records follow the app's and system's storage mechanisms. Deleting the app does not necessarily erase all data: Keychain credentials may remain after uninstalling, and shared-container data also follows system behavior. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
Parents can change or stop family plans after passcode verification. You can manage permissions or delete the app where permitted by the system, or contact us to access or delete information you voluntarily sent to support.
Policy changes
If our data practices materially change, we will update this page and its “Last updated” date. We will request clear permission in the app when additional consent is required.
8. Website visits and browser storage
The website stores a language preference (scrollmind_site_language) in your browser local storage to remember Chinese or English. It is not an advertising identifier. Clearing this website’s browser data removes the preference; the next visit will use the default language selection again.
The website is hosted by Vercel. Hosting and content delivery services process network request data, such as IP addresses and technical logs, to deliver pages and maintain the service. This is separate from the plans, parent credential, and reflections stored in the app; visiting the website does not upload that app data. See the Vercel Privacy Notice for the hosting provider’s data practices.
